Good research practices: rigor and reproducibility
As microscopy techniques become more advanced and complex, it is crucial for scientific publications that contain images obtained with such techniques to include comprehensive details about the imaging process. Unfortunately, a recent survey revealed that the quality of reporting in this regard is often subpar, with many articles omitting crucial information about the imaging process.
At the LMF @MDIBL, we prioritize high-quality research and adherence to best practices. To ensure optimal presentation of research results, we encourage all users to consult with our facility staff and have their microscopy method descriptions reviewed prior to publication. Additionally, we request that users provide a PDF copy of their publication to the facility for record-keeping purposes after publication.
